Meet Carlos Camarena on Wednesday

Because of the limited and rather insulting amount of what California allows us to legally pour at our spirits tastings, I've stopped doing them regularly unless there's something extra special to justify the trip. Three 1/4 oz pours of booze just ain't enough to motivate most folks to brave the 5 PM rush hour traffic on El Camino Real. But this Wednesday we do indeed have such an event. The legendary Carlos Camarena from La Altaña distillery will be in the store—the guy behind El Tesoro, Tapatio, and Tequila Ocho—to talk about the El Tesoro brand and pour a little tequila for you. 

I've spoken with Carlos before via the telephone (as you might remember this incredibly enlightening conversation from two years ago), but I've never met him face to face. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited for this tasting myself. 

We'll start at 5 PM and run until 6:45 before we close this coming Wednesday, October 14th. I'll see you there!
