The excellent Glann Ar Mor Distillery on the rugged coast of Brittany is easily one of the world’s best unknown distillery. They’ve quietly been making high quality single malt at the this tiny far flung facility in the Celtic tradition for the better part of the last decade and a half. Martine and Jean Donnay are committed to producing single malt the old way. No corners are cut, no innovation is sought. If this distillery we’re in Islay it would be one of the hottest craft single malt in the world. But Bretagne is not on the Scotch Whisky trail. After years of pining for their exceptional malt stateside it’s finally here. Easily one of the most exciting Craft Single Malt not from Scotland available today.
